Quantifying Tourist Behavior Patterns by Travel Motifs and Geo-Tagged Photos from Flickr

TL;DR: By representing trajectories in terms of three distinct types of travel motif and further using them to measure user similarity, typical tourist travel behavior patterns associated with distinct sightseeing tastes/preferences are identified and analyzed for tourism recommendation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Inferring demographics from human trajectories and geographical context

TL;DR: A demographics inferring framework suitable for big geo-data processing that can facilitate decision making in both business and social studies, such as personalized recommendation, commercial site selection and urban planning is proposed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Applying Ollivier-Ricci curvature to indicate the mismatch of travel demand and supply in urban transit network

TL;DR: Wang et al. as mentioned in this paper proposed an evaluation method to decide which parts of a transit network should be upgraded first, based on Ollivier-Ricci curvature, a concept from differential geometry.

Evaluation method for optimizing bus network based on Richi curvature

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors proposed an evaluation method for optimizing a bus network based on a Richi curvature, and the method comprises the following steps: inputting a to-be-optimized network and travel demand big data; S2, respectively calculating the Leeb curvature between every two stations in the whole sample and completely calculating the collected sample until the leeb curve between all stations; and S3, evaluating the station pairs needing to be optimized according to the Richi curve and the inter-station flow obtained by calculation.
