Techno-Economic Analysis of Photovoltaic-Hydrogen Fuel Cell/Pumped Hydro Storage System for Micro Grid Applications: Case Study in Cyprus
TL;DR: In this article, the optimal configurations of the PV system with different energy storage system configurations for the university are found based on maximizing the renewable energy (RES) fraction with Levelized Cost of Electricity (LCOE) equals to the grid tariff.
Journal ArticleDOI
Optimal sizing of country-scale renewable energy systems towards green transportation sector in developing countries
Loiy Al-Ghussain,Adnan Darwish Ahmad,Ahmad M. Abubaker,Mohamed A. Mohamed,Muhammed Faiz Abdullah Hassan,Nelson K. Akafuah +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the potential of covering the increasing energy demand for electric vehicles (EVs) using the previously planned hybrid renewable energy system (RES) for Jordan, which comprised wind, solar photovoltaic (PV), and battery energy storage systems (ESS).
Journal ArticleDOI
Lab on a Chip for the Colorimetric Determination of Nitrite in Processed Meat Products in the Jordanian Market
TL;DR: The developed system is utilized for photometric detection of nitrite in processed meat products available in the Jordanian market like pastrami, salami, and corned beef and the nitrite content is found to be lower than 150 ppm, which represents the maximum allowable nitrite limit.
Journal ArticleDOI
Economic Assessment of PV Investments in Jordan
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors assess the economics of PV power plant investments in different regions in Jordan in order to specify the best regions for such investment, and the results indicate that the investment in PV projects is profitable in all the regions where Ma'an is the best region in Jordan for PV projects with NPV of 1531.7 USD/KWp and LCOE of 0.0916 USD/kWh.
Journal ArticleDOI
Aggregated independent forecasters of half-hourly global horizontal irradiance
TL;DR: In this article, single and aggregated forecasters of half-hourly global horizontal irradiance are assessed using the standard persistent model and four newly proposed static, dynamic, moving average and amplified persistent models.
