Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of Gamma Irradiation on Ultimate Tensile Strength of Enamel and Dentin
Carlos José Soares,Carolina Guimarães Castro,N.A. Neiva,Paulo Vinícius Soares,Paulo César Freitas Santos-Filho,Lucas Zago Naves,P.N.R. Pereira +6 more
TL;DR: Results showed that irradiation treatment significantly decreased the UTS of coronal and radicular dentin and of enamel, regardless of tubule or prism orientation, demonstrating that irradiated teeth are more harmful to organic components.
Journal ArticleDOI
Surface/interface morphology and bond strength to glass ceramic etched for different periods.
Lucas Zago Naves,Carlos José Soares,Rafael R. Moraes,Luciano de Souza Gonçalves,Mário Alexandre Coelho Sinhoreti,Lourenço Correr-Sobrinho +5 more
TL;DR: The etching period influenced the surface/interface topography and bond strength to ceramic and the application of unfilled resin was able to infiltrate all unfilled voids beneath the ceramic-cement interface, except on re-etched surfaces.
Journal ArticleDOI
The Effect of Hydrofluoric Acid Concentration on the Bond Strength and Morphology of the Surface and Interface of Glass Ceramics to a Resin Cement.
D. Sundfeld Neto,Lucas Zago Naves,Ana Rosa Costa,Américo Bortolazzo Correr,Simonides Consani,Gilberto Antonio Borges,Lourenço Correr-Sobrinho +6 more
TL;DR: The HF concentration and UR influenced the bond strength and surface/interface morphology and μ-shear bond strength between IPS Empress Esthetic and IPS e.max Press ceramics and resin cement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Bacterial Adhesion and Surface Roughness for Different Clinical Techniques for Acrylic Polymethyl Methacrylate
Lucas Costa de Medeiros Dantas,João Paulo da Silva-Neto,Talita Souza Dantas,Lucas Zago Naves,Flávio Domingues das Neves,Adérito Soares da Mota +5 more
TL;DR: It was verified that the laboratory processing of PMMA might decrease the surface roughness and consequently the adhesion of S. sanguinis to this material.
Journal ArticleDOI
Color stability of silorane-based composites submitted to accelerated artificial ageing--an in situ study.
Fernanda de Carvalho Panzeri Pires-de-Souza,Lucas da Fonseca Roberti Garcia,Lourenço de Moraes Rego Roselino,Lucas Zago Naves +3 more
TL;DR: It may be concluded that the silorane-based composite underwent greater alteration with regard to color stability and greater surface and tooth/restoration interface degradation after AAA.
