Phytochemical Screening and Anti-microbial Activity Studies on Leea macrophylla Seed Extracts
TL;DR: It has been shown that the extracts exhibit antifungal activities against candida albicans except the extract n-hexane, and showed potent anti-microbial effects against gram positive micro-organism and gram negative bacteria.
Journal ArticleDOI
Screening of phytochemical and biological potential of Clerodendron viscosum leaves extracts.
TL;DR: Attempts were made to investigate different phytochemicals of Clerodendron viscosum leaves extracts with different solvents e.g. petroleum ether, ethyl acetate and chloroform, which showed higher toxicity against Sitophiulus oryzae and Rhizopertha dominica but moderate toxicity against Tribolium castaneus.
Journal ArticleDOI

A low-density cellulose rich new natural fiber extracted from the bark of jack tree branches and its characterizations
TL;DR: In this paper , a new natural cellulosic fiber is extracted from the bark of the jack tree branches by water retting process, which is characterized by standard methods, such as XRD analysis reveals its high level of crystallinity (86%) and the microfibrillar angle (MFA) calculated from the XRD data is found −29°.
