Granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor: not just another haematopoietic growth factor
Alejandro Francisco-Cruz,M. Aguilar-Santelises,Octavio Ramos-Espinosa,Dulce Mata-Espinosa,Brenda Marquina-Castillo,Jorge Barrios-Payán,Rogelio Hernández-Pando +6 more
TL;DR: Granulocyte–macrophage colony-stimulating factor induces differentiation, proliferation and activation of macrophages and dendritic cells which are necessary for the subsequent T helper cell type 1 and cytotoxic T lymphocyte activation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Apoptosis in B-chronic lymphocytic leukaemia
TL;DR: The implications of several signals mediated by receptors, such as surface IgM, CD6 and CD40, for the B-CLL cell survival, together with data on gene modulation in relation to the apoptosis process in B- CLL cells are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Induction and treatment of anergy in murine leprosy.
Mario Juárez-Ortega,Víctor Gabriel Hernández,Patricia Arce-Paredes,Enrique B. Villanueva,M. Aguilar-Santelises,Oscar Rojas-Espinosa +5 more
TL;DR: The dose but not the specificity of DLE was the determining factor for reversing anergy, while DLE given at a dose of 0.1 U showed beneficial effects regardless of the DLE source.
Journal ArticleDOI
Clinical isolates of Escherichia coli are resistant both to antibiotics and organotin compounds.
M. Aguilar-Santelises,J Castillo-Vera,R Gonzalez-Molina,A. García del Valle,M Cruz Millan,L. Aguilar-Santelises +5 more
TL;DR: Higher in vitro growth inhibition was induced by these OTCs in the presence of the efflux pump inhibitor carbonyl cyanide-m-chlorophenyl hydrazone, which suggests that efflux pumps contribute to making antibiotic-resistant E. coli also resistant to OTCS.
Journal ArticleDOI
Wastewater from Mexico City contains organotin compounds and organotin-resistant bacteria
Vladimir Paredes-Cervantes,Jane Castillo-Vera,Federico Gomez-Reynoso,Francisco Díaz-Cedillo,M. Aguilar-Santelises +4 more
TL;DR: In this article, the content of butyltins, triphenyltin and bacteria in water from various sites with different water quality in Mexico City, Pachuca City and two towns located between these two cities.
