Entropy from Extra Dimensions
Enrique Alvarez,M. Belén Gavela +1 more
TL;DR: The phenomenon of dynamical compactification in a universe with 4+n/sub c/dimensions is studied in this paper, and it is found that if the whole process is adiabatic, entropy is pumped into the effective four-dimensional universe.
Journal ArticleDOI
Calculation of weak transitions in lattice QCD
TL;DR: In this article, Monte Carlo simulations of QCD were used to evaluate hadronic matrix elements of local operators encountered in electroweak and grand-unified-theory transitions, and preliminary Monte Carlo estimates were made of the $\ensuremath{\Delta}S=2$ matrix elements responsible for the mass difference.
Journal ArticleDOI
Supersymmetric contributions to the ϵ′ and ϵ CP violating parameters
Jean-Marie Frère,M. Belén Gavela +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the contributions to ϵ, ϵ′ ϵ and the electric dipole moments due to flavor blind mechanisms of CP violation, found in supersymmetric models, are investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI
CP violation in the lepton sector
M. Belén Gavela,Howard Georgi +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the dipole electric moment of the electron (d e ) was used as a test of CP violation in the case of V -A W ± exchange, where d e, like the neutron dipole moment, is very small.
