In 1-(Difluorboryl)- (1) und 1-(Trifluorsilyl)-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-1,10-phenanthrolin (2) kann sich eine intramolekulare Koordinationsbindung zwischen B bzw Si und einem Stickstoffatom mit „nichtbindenden” Elektronen zu einem N…BN- bzw N…SiN-Heterocyclus ausbilden UV-spektroskopische Untersuchungen unterstreichen diese innere Komplexbildung in 1, dagegen sollte 2 als „offene”, nichtchelatisierte Verbindung vorliegen Die Kristallstrukturen von 1 und 2 zeigen aber, das in beiden Komplexen deutliche koordinative Wechselwirkungen auftreten Das Bor befindet sich in tetraedrischer Umgebung, die B…N Koordinationsbindung (1629(7)pm) ist um 86% gegenuber der anderen BN-„Einfachbindung” (1500(6) pm) aufgeweitet In 2 liegt ein funffachkoordiniertes Si in trigonal-bipyramidaler Anordnung vor, der Aufweitungsgrad der Adduktbindung (Si…N 1969(4) pm) betragt 137% im Vergleich zur „Einfachbindung” (Si…N 1732(4) pm)

The importance of the transannular secondary bonding strength in the molecular structures of metallocanes of type [X(CH2CH2Y)2MRR′] and [X(CH2CH2Y)2M′R] (M = Ge(IV), Sn(IV), Pb(IV), M′ = As(III), Sb(III) and Bi(III); X = NR″, O, S; Y = O, S)

Die Struktur der Titelsubstanz 4 wurde rontgenographisch aus Diffraktometer-Einkristalldaten bestimmt und bis zu einem konventionellen R von 0,040 verfeinert. Der 8-Ring besitzt Sessel-Sessel-Konformation mit transannularer 1.5-Ge…O-Annaherung. Die Koordination am Ge-Atom ist trigonal-bipyramidal mit aquatorialen Abstanden GeS 218 und GeCl 215 pm und axialen Abstanden Ge0 237 und GeCl 221 pm. Ein formales Klassifizierungsschema fur bindende und nichtbindende Ge0-, GoS-, Sn0- und SnS-Abstande wird gegeben. Relative Bindungsordnungen der transannularen Akzeptor-Donator-Wechselwirkung in 4 und analogen Heterocyclen werden diskutiert. Die Kristallstruktur von 4 ist eine OD-Struktur mit geordneten yz-Schichten und gestorter Schichtenfolge in x-Richtung. Die 4-Molekeln sind 12fach koordiniert.



On Heterocyclic Systems Containing Germanium. III. Molecular and Crystal Structure of 5,5-Dichloro-l-oxa-4,G-dithia-5-germocane



The crystal structure of the title compound 4 has been determined from single crystal X-ray data and refined to a conventional R of 0.040. The eight-membered ring has the chair—chair conformation with 1.5-transannular Go…O interaction. The coordination of the Ge-atom is trigonal-bipyramidal with equatorial distances GeS 218 and GeC1 215 pm and axial distances Ge0 237 and GeC1 221 pm. A formal classification scheme for bonding and nonbonding Ge0, GeS, Sn0, and SnS distances is given. Correlated bond orders for the transannular accaptordonor interaction in 4 and analogous heterocycles arc discussed. The crystal structure of 4 is an OD-structure with ordered layers of molecules parallel the yz-plane and disturbed layer sequence in the x-direction. The 4-molecules are 12-coordinated.
