Journal ArticleDOI

PbSe photodetector arrays for IR sensors

TL;DR: PbSe Linear arrays have been fabricated to be used as multiple IR gas sensors at room temperature, and morphological features and chemical composition of the layers were studied along the different steps of the sensitization process with a Scanning Electron Microscope as mentioned in this paper.
Journal ArticleDOI

Optimized geometry in infrared arrays for remote sensing of forest fires

TL;DR: The array proposed in this paper improves the characteristics of standard infrared arrays for remote sensing, in particular, of those used for incipient forest fires detection, and maintains the optics and connection low-level complexity.
Journal ArticleDOI

An approach for the compensation of the background variability in fire detection systems

TL;DR: In this article, an approach for fire detection in ground systems is presented, which takes into account the temporal and spatial variability of background (BG) variability and shows that the use of differences between sensors instead of a single sensor provides higher fire detection probability.
