The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between emotion regulations with subjective well-being in adolescent students. The hypothesis predicted that there was a positive relationship between emotion regulations with subjective well-being in adolescent students. Positive emotion regulation caused higher subjective well-being in adolescents, or vice versa. This study used a scale of emotion regulation and subjective well-being for collecting the data, and by engaging the students in class XI IPA1, IPA4 XI, XI IPS3 at SMA 1 Wonosari Klaten, they were selected by using random cluster sampling technique. The data were analyzed with Pearson product moment correlation. The results showed that there was a positive relationship between emotion regulation with subjective wellbeing (r = 0.350; p <0.05). The effective contribution of emotion regulation to subjective well-being was 12.3%. The classification of emotion regulation and subjective well-being in adolescents were moderate. Some recommendations based on the results of this research were to include other forms of interventions that could improve emotion regulation and subjective well-being for adolescents; and to examine other variables that may affect the subjective well-being in adolescents for further research. While at the school, the parents provided the necessary intervention for the regulation of positive emotions and subjective well-being.

The Relation of Emotion Regulation and Subjective Well-Being in Adolescent Students

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan orientasi religius dengan kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen pada laki-laki dan peremÂ­ puan. Hipotesis yang diajukan adalah (1) ada korelasi negatif antara orientasi religius dengan kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen pada remaja; semakin tinggi orientasi religius remaja, semakin intrinsikÂ  orientasi religiusnya, semakin rendah kecenderungan remaja untuk berÂ­ perilaku delinkuen, dan sebaiknya; dan (2) ada perbedaan kecendeÂ­ rungan berperilaku delinkuen antara remaja laki-laki dengan remaja perempuan. Remaja laki-laki lebih tinggi kecenderungannya untuk berperilaku delinkuen daripada remaja perempuan. SubjeK penelitian adaiah pelajar SMU N 1 Tasikmalaya yang diambil secara acak dari populasinya, yang memiliki ciri-ciri: pelajar beragama Islam, dan berusia antara 15-17 tahun. Subjek penelitian ini seluruhnya berjumlah 149 orang, terdiri 66 laki-laki dan 83 perempuan. Untuk mengetahui tingkat orientasi religius dan tingkat kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen subjek penelitian, digunakan dua macam skala yaitu skala orientasi religius dan skala kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen. Metode analisis data yang dipakai adalah analisis korelasi product moment dari Pearson untuk menguji hipotesis pertama dan analisis kovarian satu jalur untuk menguji hipotesis kedua. Hasil analisis data menunjuk.kan bahwa (1) ada korelasi negatit yang signifikan antara orientasi religius dengan kecenderungan berperilaku delinkuen pada remaja (2) Tidak ada perbedaan yang signifikan kecenderungan berperifaku delinkuen antara remaja lakl-laki dengan remaja perempuan. Kencenderungan Berperilaku Delinkuen Pada Remaja Ditinjau Dari Orientasi Religius dan Jenis Kelamin

: Subjective well-being is an evaluation of life quality from cognitive evaluation (life satisfaction) and affective evaluation (positive affect and negative affect experience). In colloquial tern, subjective well-being is labeled “happiness”. People high in subjective well-being have a number of desirable qualities, such as good emotional control, and face many things on their lives in a better way. Therefore, high subjective well-being plays an important role in late adolescent who is accrossing the life span, from childhood through adulthood. There are many resources correlating with subjective well-being and one of them is religious faith. Recently, some researches found the intensity of religions life rising in late adolescents. This research aim is to know whether there is any correlation between religious commitment and subjective well-being in late adolescents. The method in this research is quantitative with purposive and snowball sampling techniques. The research was conducted to college students in Tarumanagara University (Campus I). The college students were Moslems, still had parents, and not a single child in their family. There were 224 subjects in this research at the age of between 19 and 22 years old. The Pearson correlation shows there is a positive correlation between religious commitment and subjective well-being in late adolescents.
