Mechanical Properties of Natural Fiber Braided Yarn Woven Composite: Comparison with Conventional Yarn Woven Composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of reinforcement natural fiber in the form of braided yarn woven fabric on mechanical properties of polymer composite was investigated, and the results of the composite were compared with the conventional yarn fabric composite and random oriented intimately mixed short fiber composites for the same percentage of fiber weight.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dynamic mechanical and free vibration behavior of natural fiber braided fabric composite: Comparison with conventional and knitted fabric composites

TL;DR: In this paper, a dynamic mechanical and experimental modal analysis has been performed on braided yarn woven fabric reinforced polyester composites and results are compared with those of conventional twisted yarn woven fabrics and knitted woven fabric composites.
Journal ArticleDOI

Mechanical behavior of woven natural fiber fabric composites: Effect of weaving architecture, intra-ply hybridization and stacking sequence of fabrics

TL;DR: In this paper, a comprehensive analysis of the mechanical and free vibration properties of woven natural fiber polymer composites is presented, with three different weave types (plain, bas baselines, and baselines).
Book ChapterDOI

Mechanical, Dynamic Mechanical and Vibration Behavior of Nanoclay Dispersed Natural Fiber Hybrid Intra-ply Woven Fabric Composite

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of nanoclay dispersion on mechanical, dynamic mechanical and free vibration characteristics of basket type intra-ply woven banana/jute (banana yarn-weft direction, jute yarn-warp direction) hybrid polyester composite was investigated.
Journal ArticleDOI

The hydroscopic effect on dynamic and thermal properties of woven jute, banana, and intra-ply hybrid natural fiber composites

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of reinforcing natural fiber in the form of woven fabric on dynamic mechanical and thermogravimetric analysis was investigated, which revealed that basket type and intra-ply hybridized composites enhanced the dynamic mechanical properties of the composites due to the enhancement in modulus by the reinforcement.
