Coupled model analysis of SAW floating electrode type unidirectional transducers

TL;DR: The performance of a single-phase unidirectional transducers utilizing the internal reflections of floating electrodes of electrically open and shorted metal strips within an interdigital electrode structure (FEUDT: floating electrode unid Directional transducer) is analyzed using a coupled-mode theory.
Journal ArticleDOI

Analysis of the film thickness dependence of a single-phase unidirectional transducer using the coupling-of-modes theory and the finite-element method

TL;DR: A coupling-of-modes (COM) analysis is given for the film thickness dependence of a single-phase undirectional transducer (SPUDT), while the finite-element method (FEM) is employed for evaluating all the coefficients of COM equations.
Journal ArticleDOI

New Types of SAW Reflectors and Resonators Consisting of Reflecting Elements with Positive and Negative Reflection Coefficients

TL;DR: Experimental results on metal strip gratings show that the new reflectors provide very efficient reflection characteristics, and experimental 100 MHz one-port resonators utilizing the new grating configuration show a clean resonance response devoid of spurious responses due to trapped energy modes.
