Maarten Wauters,Monique Elseviers,Bert Vaes,Bert Vaes,Jean-Marie Degryse,Jean-Marie Degryse,Olivia Dalleur,Olivia Dalleur,Robert Vander Stichele,Thierry Christiaens,Majda Azermai +10 more

Journal ArticleDOI

Maarten Wauters,Monique Elseviers,Bert Vaes,Jean-Marie Degryse,Olivia Dalleur,Robert Vander Stichele,Luc M. Van Bortel,Majda Azermai +7 more
TL;DR: Polypharmacy was high among Belgian community-dwelling oldest old (80+), and on top of the burden of multimorbidity, polypharmacies was independently associated with less physical activity, and with depressive symptoms.
Journal ArticleDOI

TL;DR: In the community-dwelling oldest old (aged 80 and over), high medication was clearly associated with hospitalisation, independent of multimorbidity, and the appropriateness of the high medication use should be further studied.
Journal ArticleDOI
A Novel Scale Linking Potency and Dosage to Estimate Anticholinergic Exposure in Older Adults: the Muscarinic Acetylcholinergic Receptor ANTagonist Exposure Scale.
Therese T. Klamer,Therese T. Klamer,Maarten Wauters,Majda Azermai,Carlos E. Durán,Thierry Christiaens,Monique Elseviers,Monique Elseviers,Robert Vander Stichele +8 more
TL;DR: The MARANTE scale combines potency with the dosage spectrum, to quantify the anticholinergic exposure in older adults, and shows good clinimetric properties.
Journal ArticleDOI
