TL;DR: A vibratable diaphragm is a diaphram having passive tightened single layers of isotropic or anisotropic layers with active function elements formed as a multilayer bond as discussed by the authors.
Abstract: A vibratable diaphragm (1) having passive tightened single layers of isotropic or anisotropic layers with active function elements (4) formed as a multilayer bond, is held in a holder (2). The diaphragm accepts deformation energy for different stable equilibrium positions, the change in which causes sound.

TL;DR: In this paper, a multilayer arrangement consisting of isotropic and anisotropic materials with several passively braced individual layers arranged asymmetrically with respect to each other is presented.
Abstract: The arrangement consists of isotropic and anisotropic materials with several passively braced individual layers arranged asymmetrically with respect to each other that adopt multistable deformation conditions in various stable equilibrium states when deformation energy is introduced. For introduction of deformation energy, at least one layer of a functional material that can be driven is inserted into a multilayer compound, which is changed to a different equilibrium state by driving the layer(s) and the introduction of energy is finished with the change.

TL;DR: Funktionsmultistabiler hybrider Mehrschichtverbund zur Erzeugung von Stellbewegungen as discussed by the authors, with mindestens einer vorgespannten passiven Schicht and aus einem ansteuerbaren Funktionsmaterial.
Function Multi Stable hybrid multilayer composite for producing adjusting movements, with at least one pre-loaded passive layer and at least one layer of a controllable functional material through which the multi-layer composite can be transferred from one to another equilibrium, characterized in that the multilayer composite more passive, tensioned against one another individual layers with so framed unbalanced expansion layer of anisotropic materials, in that the multilayer composite can assume different deformation states in different stable equilibrium.
