Synthesis and Characterization of Co-ZnO and Evaluation of Its Photocatalytic Activity for Photodegradation of Methyl Orange.

TL;DR: In this paper, Co-ZnO was used as a photocatalyst for the degradation of methyl orange deodorization from wastewater. But this method is not suitable for the removal of organic pollutants.

Photo-degradation of monoazo dye blue 13 using advanced oxidation process

TL;DR: In this paper, the photo-degradation of mono-azo dye Blue 13 in an aqueous solution was investigated using a laboratory scale UV lamp in the presence of H2O2 and for maximum degradation of dye, the independent parameter UV power, UV exposure time, pH and H 2O2 concentration were optimized.
Journal ArticleDOI

Dyeing of gamma irradiated cotton using Direct Yellow 12 and Direct Yellow 27: improvement in colour strength and fastness properties

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of gamma irradiated cotton using direct dyes was investigated and it was found that 18kGy is the optimal absorbed dose for tuning the surface of fabric to get colour strength using Direct Yellow 12, whereas good colour strength was obtained by dyeing irradiated fabric at 70°C for 70min by keeping M:L of 1:30 using dyeing bath of pH 10 in the presence of 2 ǫg/L of table salt.
Journal ArticleDOI

Photocatalysis: an effective tool for photodegradation of dyes—a review

TL;DR: In this article, the photocatalytic degradation of dyes follows three types of mechanisms: (1) dye sensitization through charge injection, (2) indirect dye degradation through oxidation/reduction, and (3) direct photolysis of dye.
Journal ArticleDOI

Influence of Microwave Radiation on Dyeing of Bio-mordanted Silk Fabric using Neem Bark (Azadirachta indica)-Based Tannin Natural Dye

TL;DR: The utilization of bio-mordants to make natural coloring process more eco-friendly is gaining worldwide fame, whereas the addition of microwave treatment has added value to the extraction of colora... as discussed by the authors.
