A fixed-bearing prosthesis includes a femoral component having a medial condyle surface and a lateral condyle surface. The knee prosthesis also includes a bearing having a medial bearing surface configured to articulate with the medial condyle surface of the femoral component, and a lateral bearing surface configured to articulate with the lateral condyle surface of the femoral component. A tibial tray is secured to the bearing. The tibial tray has a platform with an elongated stem extending downwardly from a lower surface thereof. A posterior buttress extends along a posterior section of the perimeter of the tray's platform, and an anterior buttress extends along an anterior section of the perimeter of the tray's platform. Differently-sized tibial trays are interchangeable with differently-sized bearings.

Fixed-bearing knee prosthesis having interchangeable components

At least one decomposable compound of a metal selected from the group consisting of copper, zinc and the metals of Group III-B, Group IV-B, Group VB, Group VIB, Group VIIB and Group VIII of the Periodic Table is mixed with a hydrocarbon-containing feed stream. The hydrocarbon-containing feed stream containing such decomposable compound is then contacted with a suitable refractory inorganic material to reduce the concentration of metals, sulfur and Ramsbottom carbon residue contained in the hydrocarbon-containing feed stream. The suitable refractory inorganic material may also be slurried with the hydrocarbon-containing feed stream.

Alumina made by such process and catalyst made therefrom.

Method of making alumina having bimodal pore structure, and catalysts made therefrom

A hydrogenation catalyst for desulfurization and removal of heavy metals, comprises (a) at least one metal component selected from metals of Groups VI B and VIII of the Periodic Table, as a catalytically active component, and (2) a porous activated alumina carrier obtained by shaping a mixture of carbon black and a powder of activated alumina or a precursor of activated alumina, drying the shaped mixture and firing it in an oxygen-containing gas stream to burn off the carbon black.

Hydrogenation catalyst for desulfurization and removal of heavy metals

A porous refractory inorganic oxide product is produced by shaping a mixture of carbon black and a refractory inorganic oxide and/or a precursor of refractory inorganic oxide; drying a product; firing it in an oxygen-containing gas flow while burning said carbon black.
