Application of FTIR-ATR Spectroscopy to Determine the Extent of Lipid Peroxidation in Plasma during Haemodialysis.

TL;DR: The Fourier Transform Infrared Attenuated Total Reflectance (FTIR-ATR) spectroscopy, which enables determination of primary peroxidation products, was effective during the evaluation of changes in the extent of lipidperoxidation in plasma during a haemodialysis in sheep.
Journal ArticleDOI

Vibrational Spectroscopic Study of l-Phenylalanine: Effect of pH:

TL;DR: In this paper, the vibrational molecular spectroscopic study of L-phenylalanine in aqueous solution was carried out in the pH range 0-13 and the results showed that the amino acid undergoes structural changes under the influence of pH.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antioxidant activity of flavones from Scutellaria baicalensis in lecithin liposomes

TL;DR: Some of the beneficial effects of the extract of the Scutellaria baicalensis can be mediated in certain diseases by their ability to scavenge free radicals and by their protective effect on lipid peroxidation caused by sunlight irradiation.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectroscopic techniques in the study of human tissues and their components. Part I: IR spectroscopy.

TL;DR: V vibrational spectroscopy: ATR-FTIR and Raman spectroscopic will be used and studies are carried out on tissues: tendons, blood vessels, skin, red blood cells and biological components: amino acids, proteins, DNA, plasma, and deposits.
Journal ArticleDOI

Anthocyanin Extracts with Antioxidant and Radical Scavenging Effect

TL;DR: It was found that the antioxidative potency of anthocyanin extracts is concentration-dependent and as shown by E P R technique the efficiency of the extracts to eliminate free radicals from the solution follows the order of the antioxidant activity.
