Molecular interaction of tea catechin with bovine β-lactoglobulin: A spectroscopic and in silico studies.
Nasser Abdulatif Al-Shabib,Javed Masood Khan,Ajamaluddin Malik,Md. Tabish Rehman,Mohamed F. Alajmi,Fohad Mabood Husain,Malik Hisamuddin,Nojood Altwaijry +7 more
TL;DR: Molecular docking and simulation studies confirm that catechin binds at the central cavity of β-Lg with high affinity (~105 M−1) and hydrophobic interactions play significant role in the formation of a stable β- Lg-catechin complex.
Journal ArticleDOI
Circulation of single serotype of Dengue Virus (DENV-3) in New Delhi, India during 2016: A change in the epidemiological trend.
Nazish Parveen,Arshi Islam,Ayesha Tazeen,Malik Hisamuddin,Mohd Abdullah,Irshad H. Naqvi,Imam Faizan,Divya Gulyani,Anwar Ahmed,Shama Parveen +9 more
TL;DR: The changing trend in circulation of d Dengue virus serotypes necessitates the continuous epidemiological surveillance for the dengue outbreaks in this region.
Journal ArticleDOI
Co-circulation of Chikungunya and Dengue viruses in Dengue endemic region of New Delhi, India during 2016.
Malik Hisamuddin,Ayesha Tazeen,Mohd Azman Abdullah,Mohammad Islamuddin,Nazish Parveen,Arshi Islam,Md. Imam Faizan,Abu Hamza,Irshad Husain Naqvi,Hirday N. Verma,Ajamaluddin Malik,Anwar Ahmed,Saba Parveen +12 more
TL;DR: Co-circulation of both viruses in DENV endemic regions warrants effective monitoring of these emerging pathogens via comprehensive surveillance for implementation of effective control measures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Concurrent Infection with Plasmodium vivax and the Dengue and Chikungunya Viruses in a Paediatric Patient from New Delhi, India in 2016.
Ayesha Tazeen,Mohd Faris Abdullah,Malik Hisamuddin,Sher Ali,Irshad H. Naqvi,Hirday N. Verma,Anwar Ahmed,Shama Parveen +7 more
TL;DR: A rare case of triple infection with 3 arthropod-borne pathogens (Plasmodium vivax and the dengue and chikungunya viruses) in a 3-year-old child from New Delhi, India, in August 2016 is reported.
Journal ArticleDOI
Protection of ζ-crystallin by α-crystallin under thermal stress.
Ajamaluddin Malik,Hajar Ahmed Almaharfi,Javed Masood Khan,Malik Hisamuddin,Salman Alamery,Samina Hyder Haq,Mohammad Z. Ahmed +6 more
TL;DR: The results indicate that camel α-crystallin efficiently prevented aggregation of ζ- Crystallin, with or without an obligate cofactor up to 89 °C, and performed a quick and efficient holdase function irrespective of the unfolding stage or aggregation.
