Impact of MHD radiative flow of hybrid nanofluid over a rotating disk

Natural convection in cavities is an interesting subject for many researchers Especially, in recent years, the number of articles written in this regard has grown enormously This work provides a review of recent natural convection studies At first, experimental studies were reviewed and, then, numerical studies were examined Then, the articles were classified based on effective parameters In each section, numerical studies were examined the parameters added to the cavity such as magnetic forces, fin, porous media and cavity angles Moreover, studies on non-rectangular cavities were investigated Free convection in enclosures depends more on the fluid velocity relative to the forced convection, leading to the opposite effect of some parameters that should essentially enhance rate of heat transfer Nanoparticle addition, magnetic fields, fins, and porous media may increase forced convection However, they can reduce free convection due to the reduction in fluid velocity Thus, these parameters need more precision and sometimes need the optimization of effective parameters

A Review on the Control Parameters of Natural Convection in Different Shaped Cavities with and without Nanofluid

With growing development in nano-technology and thermal engineering, nano-materials has intended a great interest of researchers in current decade due to their multidisciplinary significances in renewable energy systems, heating processes, industrial cooling circuits, hybrid-powered motors, solar systems, nanoelectronic, sensing and imaging, coating integrity, drug delivery , nuclear cooling systems etc. The study of nanofluids in presence of external thermal sources like thermal radiation, magnetic force, activation energy and heat source/sink is more effective to improve the heat and mass transportation mechanism. Following to such motivations in mind, current research concern with the bioconvection flow of Sisko nanofluid confined by a stretched surface subject to the bioconvection phenomenon. The applications of porous space and inertial forces are analyzed by employing the Darcy-Forchheimer relations. The modified Cattaneo-Christov relations are utilized to modify the heat and mass equations. The analysis is performed in presence of heat source/sink, activation energy and thermal radiation. The primarily cause and objective of this analysis to suggest more effective and generalized non-Newtonian nanofluid model containing the gyrotactic microorganisms. The developed system of equations are solved numerically by using the bvp4c shooting scheme by using MATLAB software. It is noticed that velocity profile increases with Sisko fluid parameter while it diminishes with local inertia coefficient and bioconvection Rayleigh number. An improve nanofluid temperature is observed with temperature ratio constant and Biot number. A lower nanofluid concentration is resulted due to higher values of Cattaneo-Christov mass flux constant and mixed convection parameter.

Double stratified analysis for bioconvection radiative flow of Sisko nanofluid with generalized heat/mass fluxes

In this paper, the cooling system of a two-dimensional lithium-ion battery pack with 9 battery cells is simulated. The airflow at the Reynolds number range from 80 to 140 flows through the cooling system. In this analysis, the temperature of all 9 battery cells is examined separately. The amount of pressure drop and temperature of the cooling system is assessed. Another geometry variable is the size of the inlets and outlets, which are changed simultaneously between 0.1 and 0.2. The finite element method is used for the simulations. The findings suggest that increasing the Reynolds number lowers the battery pack's maximum temperature. At a Reynolds number of 80, increasing the input temperature raises the maximum temperature of all the battery cells except the one in the battery. In model 6, this increase has increased the maximum temperature by more than 40%. Increasing the intake size raises the maximum temperature of all battery cells at other Reynolds numbers. The battery cell located at the inlet has the minimum, and the battery cell located at the outlet side has the maximum temperature. An enhancement in the Reynolds number and inlet size intensifies the pressure drop in the cooling system.
