Journal ArticleDOI

Radio frequency electromagnetic radiation (RF-EMR) from GSM (0.9/1.8GHz) mobile phones induces oxidative stress and reduces sperm motility in rats

TL;DR: It is speculated that RF-EMR from mobile phones negatively affects semen quality and may impair male fertility.
Journal ArticleDOI

Spatial Memory Perfomance of Wistar Rats Exposed to Mobile Phone

TL;DR: Mobile phone exposure affected the acquisition of learned responses in Wistar rats and points to the poor spatial navigation and the object place configurations of the phone-exposed animals.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of radio-frequency electromagnetic radiations (RF-EMR) on passive avoidance behaviour and hippocampal morphology in Wistar rats

TL;DR: Mobile phone RF-EMR exposure significantly altered the passive avoidance behaviour and hippocampal morphology in rats and marked morphological changes were observed in the CA3 region of the hippocampus of the mobile phone-exposed rats in comparison to the control rats.
Journal ArticleDOI

Induction of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase by interferon-gamma in human lens epithelial cells: Apoptosis through the formation of 3-hydroxykynurenine

TL;DR: The results show that the induction of IDO by IFN-gamma is JAK-STAT1 pathway-dependent and that this induction causes 3OHKyn-mediated apoptosis in HLE-B3 cells, suggesting that IDO-mediated kynurenine formation could play a role in cataract formation related to chronic inflammation.
