Journal ArticleDOI

Emergency cervical cerclage: predictors of success.

TL;DR: Given the poor natural history of an open external os, emergency cerclage appears beneficial, and that this might apply to twin pregnancies has implications for their management.
Journal ArticleDOI

A review of stroke and pregnancy: incidence, management and prevention.

TL;DR: An alarming trend toward higher numbers of stroke hospitalizations during the last decade was demonstrated in studies from 1995 to 1996 and 2006 to 2007, and the rate of all types of stroke increased by 47% among antenatal hospitalizations, and by 83% among post-partum hospitalizations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Antenatal and intrapartum prediction of shoulder dystocia.

TL;DR: Antepartum and labour calculation of the risk of shoulder dystocia is possible, although greatly hindered by the inaccuracy of estimating weight, it allows due weight to be given to factors which may already be influencing clinical practice and cannot be predicted with sufficient accuracy to allow universal screening.
