Abstract: SYNOPTIC ABSTRACTIn a complex system comprising of a mixture of several two – component series subsystems, we examine the notions of “Strong” and “Weak” Confounding (abbreviated as SC and WC respectively), following the work of Sethuraman (1965), Sinha and Chaudhuri (1997) and Sinha and Chattopadhyay (1997).
