Journal ArticleDOI

Role of the Functionalization of the Gold Nanoparticle Surface on the Formation of Bioconjugates with Human Serum Albumin

TL;DR: The human serum albumin (HSA) protein–gold nanoparticle (AuNP) interactions are mainly electrostatic and that the concentration of protein necessary to stabilize the conjugates decreases when the overall negative charge on the nanoparticle surface increases.
Journal ArticleDOI

Stabilization of gold nanoparticles by 6-mercaptopurine monolayers. Effects of the solvent properties.

TL;DR: A study of the stability of these 6MP-AuNPs in aqueous solutions as a function of ionic strength and pH has shown the importance of the charges on the stabilization.
Journal ArticleDOI

A Molecular Dynamics Study of the Surfactant Surface Density of Alkanethiol Self-Assembled Monolayers on Gold Nanoparticles as a Function of the Radius

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors used the method of Chiu et al. that makes use of a parametric dependence on the system size of the potential energy between the gold surface and the ligand molecules.
Journal ArticleDOI

A voltammetric study of 6-mercaptopurine monolayers on polycrystalline gold electrodes

TL;DR: In this article, a cyclic voltammetric study reveals that the 6MP-monolayer formed is stable in a wide potential range up to values where the oxidative desorption occurs, which is typical of thin films where only the slower reactions should display a larger apparent decrease of the rate constant.
