Journal ArticleDOI

Electronic spectral studies and DFT computational analysis of hydrogen bonded charge transfer complexes between chloranilic acid and 2,5-dihydroxy-p-benzoquinone with 2-amino-4-methylbenzothiazole in methanol

TL;DR: In this article, two new hydrogen-bonded charge transfer complexes between two electron acceptors (hydrogen bond donors), chloranilic acid (CA) and 2,5-dihydroxybenzoquinone (DHBQ) with an electron donor, 2-amino-4-methylbenzothiazole (AMBTZ) have been experimentally and theoretically studied in methanol.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis, structural characterization, DFT calculations, biological investigation, molecular docking and DNA binding of Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II) nanosized Schiff base complexes bearing pyrimidine moiety

TL;DR: In this article, three new tridentate Schiff bases derived from 5-bromosalicylaldehyde with 2-amino-4,6-dimethylpyrimidine, 2amino 4methoxy-6-methyl pyrimidine (HL1, HL2, HL3, respectively) and their complexes with Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II).
Journal ArticleDOI

Spectrophotometric studies of proton transfer complexes between 2-amino-4-methoxy-6-methyl-pyrimidine and 2-amino-4,6-dimethyl-pyrimidine with 2,6-dichloro-4-nitrophenol in acetonitrile

TL;DR: In this paper, the formation constants (K PT ) and the molar extinction coefficients ( e ) were estimated using Benesi-Hildebrand equation and the solid PT complexes were isolated and characterized using elemental analysis and infrared measurements.

Spectrophotometric and Conductimetric Studies of Charge Transfer Complexes of Some Pyrimidine Derivatives with Chloranilic Acid as ° -Acceptor in Methanol

TL;DR: In this paper, a charge transfer (CT) complex formed between 2-amino-4-methoxy -6-methyl pyrimidine (AMMP), 2amino 4-chloro 6-methyl (ACMP), ADMP and N 6 benzyl adenine (BA) as donors and chloranilic acid (CHA) as acceptor have been studied spectrophotometrically and conductimetrically.
