Journal ArticleDOI

Heterocyclic Carbenes: Synthesis and Coordination Chemistry

TL;DR: New methods for the synthesis of complexes with N-heterocyclic carbene ligands such as the oxidative addition or the metal atom template controlled cyclized isocyanides have been developed recently.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and catalytic activity of pincer-type bis(benzimidazolin-2-ylidene) palladium complexes

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of bridged bisbenzimidazolium salts 2,6-bis(N1-alkyl-N3-methylenebenzimeridazolin-2-ylidene)pyridine dibromide with palladium acetate yields the palladium pincer complexes of type [Pd(L)Br]Br, 5−8 (L = 2.5MeOH, 4·CH2Cl2, and 6·MeOH).
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of pincer-type bis(benzimidazolin-2-ylidene) palladium complexes and their application in C-C coupling reactions

TL;DR: Pincer complexes 4−6 have been tested as precatalysts in Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions of various aryl bromides with styrene and phenylboronic acid, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Palladium and Platinum Complexes with Phosphine-Functionalized Benzimidazolin-2-ylidene Ligands

TL;DR: In this article, a diphosphine-functionalized carbene ligand was synthesized by carbene transfer from the corresponding silver complex [Ag(PCNHCP)Cl] (19) to [PdCl2(cod)] or [PtCl 2(PhCN)2].
