Journal ArticleDOI

Self-assembly of molecular cylinders from polycarbene ligands and Ag(I) or Au(I).

TL;DR: Tris- and tetrakis(imidazolium) salts react with Ag(2)O to give cylindrical polynuclear silver(I) complexes such as the tetrasilver derivative [Ag(4)(1)(2)](PF(6))(4).
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis and catalytic activity of pincer-type bis(benzimidazolin-2-ylidene) palladium complexes

TL;DR: In this article, the reaction of bridged bisbenzimidazolium salts 2,6-bis(N1-alkyl-N3-methylenebenzimeridazolin-2-ylidene)pyridine dibromide with palladium acetate yields the palladium pincer complexes of type [Pd(L)Br]Br, 5−8 (L = 2.5MeOH, 4·CH2Cl2, and 6·MeOH).
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of pincer-type bis(benzimidazolin-2-ylidene) palladium complexes and their application in C-C coupling reactions

TL;DR: Pincer complexes 4−6 have been tested as precatalysts in Heck and Suzuki coupling reactions of various aryl bromides with styrene and phenylboronic acid, respectively.
Journal ArticleDOI

Synthesis of Silver(I) and Gold(I) Complexes with Cyclic Tetra- and Hexacarbene Ligands

TL;DR: This work has described the first complex with a macrocyclic tetracarbene ligand C, and described the mono and dinuclear silver(I) complexes with the carbene ligands derived from H4-1 ACHTUNGTRENNUNG(Br4), and the preparation and molecular structure of the hexanuclearSilver(I)-NHC complex derived from this ligand is described.
