Shell Structure and Embryo Development of Pistacia vera L. and P. atlantica Desf. (Anacardiaceae) Following Intra- and Interspecific Pollination

TL;DR: It is concluded that reduced shell splitting of P. vera following interspecific pollination with P. atlantica may result from the thinner shell thickness at the suture and the wider suture angle imparted by pollinated with this indehiscent species.

Effect of pre-ripening chilling temperatures on ripening, shelf life and quality of bananas treated with 1-methylcyclopropene

TL;DR: In this article, Williams et al. compared the effect of 1-methylcyclopropene (1-MCP) treatment on the performance of Cavendish bananas held at different pre-ripening storage temperatures (5°C, 10°C or 15°C).
