Journal ArticleDOI

Digestibilidade Aparente de Ingredientes pela Tilápia do Nilo (Oreochromis niloticus)

TL;DR: Results of this study indicate that among energetic ingredients, corn, extruded corn, wheat middlings and rice meal had the highest apparent digestibility coefficient and gluten 60, corn gluten meal, canola meal for proteic ingredients.
Journal ArticleDOI

Seed lipases: sources, applications and properties - a review

TL;DR: The applications of lipases in food, detergents, oils and fats, medicines and fine chemistry, effluent treatment, biodiesel production and in the cellulose pulp industry, as well as the main sources of oilseed and cereal seed lipases are reviewed.
Journal ArticleDOI

Effect of soybean meal replacement by cottonseed meal and iron supplementation on growth, immune response and resistance of Channel Catfish (Ictalurus puctatus) to Edwardsiella ictaluri challenge

TL;DR: Iron supplementation significantly affected TCC and RBC and maximum values of these parameters were obtained at 336 mg of iron/kg diet, however, Ht and Hb were not affected by increasing levels of supplemental iron and interactions between dietary levels of CSM and iron.
Journal ArticleDOI

Use of ideal protein concept for precision formulation of amino acid levels in fish‐meal‐free diets for juvenile Nile tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus L.)

TL;DR: It is suggested that a diet with all plant protein source, supplemented with essential amino acids, based on tissue amino acid profile, can totally replace FM in a diet for Nile tilapia, without adverse effects on the growth performance, carcass yield and composition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Amino acid availability and protein digestibility of several protein sources for Nile tilapia, Oreochromis niloticus

TL;DR: Results indicate that O. niloticus is able to utilize efficiently different feedstuffs in Nile tilapia, Oreochromisniloticus.
