The militarily-patriotic and the romantic-minded everywhere, and especially the professional military class, refuse to admit for a moment that war may be a transitory phenomenon in social evolution. The Moral Equivalent of War.

Se estudiarion episodios de cambio en cuatro procesos de psicoterapia: psicoanalitica breve, psicoanalitico-cognitiva, familiar contruccionista-social e integrativa de grupo. Se aplico metodologia cualitativa, confirmatoria, a sesiones observadas y grabadas en audio y video. El instrumento de analisis fue una jerarquia de indicadores de cambio genericos, comunes a diferentes modalidades psicoterapeuticas, cuya presencia y contenido se determino a partir del consenso intersubjetivo del grupo de investigadores-psicoterapeutas de formaciones teoricas distintas. Los resultados muestran que es posible identificar los momentos de cambio; los contenidos del cambio son efectivamente genericos; y, los indicadores de cambio identifican el momento de evolucion de las terapias y la antigtiedad de los consultantes, pudiendo tener un valor predictivo que es de relevancia no solo teorica, sino tambien practica.

Indicadores genéricos de cambio en el proceso psicoterapéutico

Comparative study o f the Psychology journals with impa ct fa ctor written in Sp anish. This study presents a comparative analysis among four psycholog y journals published in Spanish that have an impact facto r (Psicothema, Revista Latinoamericana de Psicolog ia, Revista Mexicana de Psicologia, and Revista Interamericana de Psicologia). These journals are compared in terms of several bibliometric indices such as impact factor, weighted impact factor, mean impact factor of the periodicals where citations appear, immediate citation factor, and mean d uratio n of citations. Additionally, a con ten t analy sis is made of the fo ur period icals co nsidering the different academic fields o f psychology and the meth ods of the published studies. The analy sis shows that Psicothema obtains a better score in most bibliometric indices and that little interaction of citations among the fo ur periodicals takes place. Regarding the comparison of methods, and academic fields, this study offers the number of papers according to the method of application (theoretical, descriptive by surveys, descriptive by observation, case studies, experimental, quasi-experimental, single case studies, instrumental, and others) and field (Personality, Psychological Assesmen t and Treatment, Social Psy chology, Experimen tal Psychology, Psychobiology, Methodology, Developmental and Edu cation Psy chology, and Inter-field Psychology ). Final y, some co nsiderations are made on bibliometric ind ices, and the relationship between methods and academic fields.

Estudio comparativo de las revistas de Psicología en castellano con factor de impacto

En este articulo se revisaran dos conceptos que han emergido con gran fuerza y vigor, desde Europa, ofreciendo alternativas teoricas e impulsando la investigacion empirica en psicologia: el concepto de representaciones sociales (RS) introducido por Moscovici y el de teorias subjetivas (TS) de Groebe et at.
La primera parte del articulo contiene una descripcion de las raices historicas de cada uno de los conceptos mencionados y el analisis de su desarrollo teorico actual.  En una segunda parte se presentan sus principales aplicaciones empiricas, para terminar con las proyecciones que se vislumbran

Representaciones sociales y teorías subjetivas: relevancia teórica y aplicaciones empíricas

La psicologia comunitaria chilena ha experimentado una evolucion que la ha situado como referente en las practicas institucionales de intervencion psicosocial. Esto ha implicado la normalizacion de las intervenciones, abandonando algunos preceptos que fundaran la disciplina, en un contexto carente de indicaciones eticas para el area. Como una forma de perfilar las practicas disciplinares actuales y sus implicaciones eticas, se investigaron las representaciones sociales sobre la praxis profesional en usuarios/as de programas estatales y ONG, desde 4 entrevistas participativas a 32 usuarios/as. Se utilizaron herramientas del analisis del discurso. Los resultados muestran una fuerte valoracion del vinculo profesional-usuario/a, un fortalecimiento progresivo desde el trabajo individual, dependencia de el//la profesional y una serie de practicas consideradas correctas e incorrectas por los/as usuarios/as.

Previous survey’s results suggest that Chilean psychologists prefer to make ethical decisions based on their personal judgment and professional experience, and place less value on the utilization of a Professional Code of Ethics (Alvear, Pasmanik, Winkler, & Olivares, 2008). With this background, information was obtained in order to position the teaching of professional ethics in the transformation that is currently being experienced in higher education, and criteria for decision making on teaching ethics at the undergraduate level were also sought. Some of the approaches to ethics education in psychology are presented and discussed, and guidelines are proposed for deciding what, when and how to teach ethics in psychology.
