Manel Nebot,María José López,Giuseppe Gorini,Manfred Neuberger,S Axelsson,Maria Pilali,C Fonseca,K Abdennbi,A. K. Hackshaw,Hanns Moshammer,A M Laurent,Joan Salles,Maria Georgouli,Maria Cristina Fondelli,Eulàlia Serrahima,Francesc Centrich,S K Hammond +16 more
TL;DR: Although there is some variability between cities, this study shows that tobacco smoke is present in most of the studied public places and indicates that policies should be implemented that would effectively reduce levels of tobacco smoke in public areas.
Journal ArticleDOI
Secondhand tobacco smoke exposure in open and semi-open settings: a systematic review.

Impact of the Spanish Smoking Law on Exposure to Secondhand Smoke in Offices and Hospitality Venues: Before-and-After Study
Manel Nebot,María José López,Carles Ariza,Mónica Pérez-Ríos,Marcela Fu,Anna Schiaffino,Gloria Muñoz,Esteve Saltó,Esteve Fernández +8 more
TL;DR: Overall, this study shows the positive impact of the law on reducing SHS in indoor workplaces, however, most hospitality workers continue to be exposed to very high levels of SHS, and a 100% smoke-free policy for all hospitality venues is required.
