Inhibition of mild steel corrosion in HCl solution using chitosan
Saviour A. Umoren,Saviour A. Umoren,Mauro Jonathan Banera,Teodoro Alonso-García,Claudio A. Gervasi,María Virginia Mirífico +5 more
TL;DR: The efficiency of chitosan as a corrosion inhibitor for mild steel in 0.1 M HCl was investigated by gravimetric, potentiodynamic polarization, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy measurements, scanning electron microscopy, and UV-visible analysis.
Journal ArticleDOI
A comparative QSAR on 1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one 1,1-dioxide compounds as selective inhibitors of human serine proteinases.
Javier Garcia,Pablo R. Duchowicz,Maria Fernanda Rozas,José Alberto Caram,José Alberto Caram,María Virginia Mirífico,María Virginia Mirífico,Francisco M. Fernández,Eduardo A. Castro +8 more
TL;DR: A comparative quantitative structure-activity relationships based analysis on compounds embodying the 1,2,5-thiadiazolidin-3-one 1,1-dioxide scaffold is developed and is supposed to be of great utility for the rational search and design of new effective non-peptidyl inhibitors of serine proteinases.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemistry of 3,4-diphenyl-1,2,5-thiadiazole 1,1-dioxide (I) and its derivatives in ethanol—acetonitrile solutions and interactions of the dianion of I with metal cations
TL;DR: In this article, the equilibrium between I and the product resulting from the addition of ethanol to one of its CN double bonds is studied by electrochemical methods in ethanol (EtOH)-acetonitrile (ACN) solvent mixtures.
Journal ArticleDOI
Electrochemical and spectroscopic study of the addition of several nucleophiles to 1,2,5‐thiadiazole 1,1‐dioxide derivatives
Journal ArticleDOI
Cladosporium cladosporioides LPSC 1088 Produces the 1,8-Dihydroxynaphthalene-Melanin-Like Compound and Carries a Putative pks Gene
Carla Llorente,Alejandra Bárcena,José Vera Bahima,Mario Carlos Nazareno Saparrat,Mario Carlos Nazareno Saparrat,Angélica Margarita Arambarri,M. Fernanda Rozas,María Virginia Mirífico,María Virginia Mirífico,Pedro Alberto Balatti,Pedro Alberto Balatti +10 more
TL;DR: Morphological as well as molecular features like the ITS sequence confirmed that LPSC 1088 is Cladosporium cladosporioides and the main dark pigment of the isolate was 1,8 dihydroxynaphthalene (DHN)-melanin-type compound.
