Trends and risk of lung cancer among people living with HIV in the USA: a population-based registry linkage study.
Cameron B. Haas,Eric A. Engels,Marie-Josèphe Horner,Neal D. Freedman,Qianlai Luo,Susan T. Gershman,Baozhen Qiao,Ruth M. Pfeiffer,Meredith S. Shiels +8 more
TL;DR: In this article , the authors investigated trends in relative and absolute risk of lung cancer among people living with HIV of various age groups in the USA, and used multivariable Poisson regression to estimate the 5-year cumulative incidence for lung cancer and two AIDS-defining cancers (nonHodgkin lymphoma and Kaposi sarcoma).
Journal ArticleDOI
Risk of nonkeratinocyte skin cancers in people living with HIV during the era of antiretroviral therapy.
Yen T. Luu,Qianlai Luo,Marie-Josèphe Horner,Meredith S. Shiels,Eric A. Engels,Michael R. Sargen +5 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors used linked data from HIV and cancer registries in 12 states/regions in the United States during the antiretroviral therapy era (1996-2018) to calculate standardized incidence ratios for 27 nonkeratinocyte skin cancers (NKSCs) and compared the incidence with that of the general population.
Journal ArticleDOI
Years of life lost to cancer among the United States HIV population, 2006–2015
