Cloud point transition in nonionic micellar solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the mesures de diffusion de lumiere a la concentration critique de separation des phases montre que la compressibilite osmotique et la serie de correlation de fluctuations de concentration diverge pres du point critique des systemes etudies.
Journal ArticleDOI

Quasi-elastic light scattering study of intermicellar interactions in aqueous sodium dodecyl sulfate solutions

TL;DR: In this paper, a quasi-elastic light scattering measurement has been performed on aqueous sodium dodecyl sulfate solutions in the 0.1 to 0.6 mole NaCl concentration range at 25 and 40 C. The concentration dependence of the apparent molecular weight and of the mass diffusion coefficient is interpreted on the basis of Derjaguin-Landau Verwey-Overbeek theory of colloid stability.
Journal ArticleDOI

Neutron scattering study of micelle structure in isotropic aqueous solutions of poly(oxyethylene) amphiphiles

TL;DR: Etudes des proprietes des micelles formees par les agents de surface non ioniques: C 8 E 5 and C 12 E 8 dans D 2 O, en fonction de la temperature, au-dessous de la limite inferieure de consolution and en condition de la concentration au-dimensional de la phase hexagonale-isotrope par diffusion de neutrons as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI

Aggregative properties of gangliosides in solution

TL;DR: The aggregative properties of gangliosides in diluted aqueous solutions are discussed on the basis of simple and well-established thermodynamic concepts and mixed aggregates with amphiphilic compounds and on theganglioside aggregate-soluble protein interaction effects which give rise to very stable lipoproteic complexes of well-defined gangliosiside-protein composition.
Journal ArticleDOI

Critical Behavior of a Micellar Solution

TL;DR: In this article, the static and dynamic critical properties of a nonionic amphiphile aqueous solution showing a lower consolution point are investigated by laser-light scattering, and the behavior of the mass diffusion constant in the hydrodynamic region is in good agreement with the predictions of the mode-mode-coupling theory.
