Efficient Particle-Based Track-Before-Detect in Rayleigh Noise
TL;DR: This paper presents an efficient particle filter TBD algorithm, which models the signal processing stages which may be found in a sensor such as radar, and shows that in a simple simulation the algorithm can detect and track targets with a signal-to-noise ratio as low as 3dB.

Bayesian Methods in the Search for MH370
TL;DR: In this paper, a nonlinear/non-Gaussian Bayesian time series estimation method was used to produce a probability distribution of potential MH370 flight paths, which were used to define the search zone in the southern Indian Ocean.

3D meteoroid trajectories
Eleanor K. Sansom,Trent Jansen-Sturgeon,Mark Rutten,Hadrien A. R. Devillepoix,Phil A. Bland,Robert M. Howie,M. A. Cox,Martin C. Towner,Martin Cupak,Benjamin A. D. Hartig +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, a three dimensional particle filter was proposed to model meteoroid positions without any straight line constraints for the purpose of investigating the deviation of a meteoroid's position to different model fits.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Joint ionospheric and target state estimation for multipath OTHR track fusion
Mark Rutten,D. John Percival +1 more
TL;DR: In this article, a multi-hypothesis multipath track fusion (MPTF) algorithm for OTHR has been developed from first principles to explicitly explore sources of track dependence, and a solution is proposed which accounts for track-to-track dependencies arising from common target ionospheric dynamic processes.
