Journal ArticleDOI

Interactive three-dimensional visualization and creation of geometries for Monte Carlo calculations

TL;DR: SimpleGeo is presented, which is an implementation of a generic versatile interactive geometry modeler using off-the-shelf hardware that allows for rapid interactive visualization as well as generation of three-dimensional geometries, and also discusses critical issues regarding common CAD systems.
Journal ArticleDOI

Qualification and Calibration of Single-Mode Phosphosilicate Optical Fiber for Dosimetry at CERN

TL;DR: In this article, the effect of successive irradiations, dose rate dependence and effects related to the change of the irradiation temperature up to 45°C were investigated for distributed OF radiation dose sensing.
Journal ArticleDOI

Method for measuring mixed field radiation levels relevant for SEEs at the LHC

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors present new irradiation tests to determine the sensitivity to neutrons from a few megaelectronvolts to 20 MeV and high-energy protons.
Journal ArticleDOI

LHC RadMon SRAM Detectors Used at Different Voltages to Determine the Thermal Neutron to High Energy Hadron Fluence Ratio

TL;DR: In this paper, the thermal neutron SEU cross-section of the Toshiba SRAM memory used in the LHC RadMon system was measured at different voltages and a method using the difference in its response compared to mixed particle energy field is proposed to be used as a discriminator between thermal neutron and high-energy hadron fluences.
