A new camera-based method for measuring the flame stability of non-oscillating and oscillating combustions
TL;DR: In this article, an image processing based measure for the quantitative online flame stability monitoring applicable in non-oscillating as well as for oscillating combustion systems is presented, which can be directly applied to different burner and camera configurations.
Journal ArticleDOI
Image-Based Characterization of Alternative Fuel Combustion With Multifuel Burners
TL;DR: An image-processing system based on infrared images that detects the alternative fuel streakline and derives parameters for the characterization of the flight and burning behavior and automatic monitoring and control of the combustion process allows an increased use of alternative fuels in constant operation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Analysis of Oscillating Combustion for NOx−Reduction in Pulverized Fuel Boilers
Nicklas Jolibois,Krasimir Aleksandrov,M. Hauser,Dieter Stapf,Helmut Seifert,Jörg Matthes,Patrick Waibel,Markus Vogelbacher,Hubert B. Keller,Hans-Joachim Gehrmann +9 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the experimental results for oscillating coal-dust firing were presented and an expert model based on a multivariate regression was developed to evaluate the results, which showed that fuel oscillation alone is not sufficient to achieve nitrogen oxides concentrations below the legislative values.
Journal ArticleDOI
Carrying the Burden Into the Pandemic – Effects of Social Disparities on Elementary Students’ Parents’ Perception of Supporting Abilities and Emotional Stress During the COVID-19 Lockdown
Markus Vogelbacher,Manja Attig +1 more
TL;DR: In this paper , the authors investigated the structural and process characteristics of the family as well as children's and parents' psychological characteristics that predict how parents assess their ability to support their child's learning during homeschooling and perceived emotional stress caused by school closure.
Journal ArticleDOI
Progression and Evaluation of a Camera-Based Measurement System for Multifuel Burners Under Industrial Process Conditions
TL;DR: An integrated algorithm comprising image preprocessing and image analysis for a camera-based measurement system that enables an evaluation of the combustion behavior of the alternative fuel and a control concept for multifuel burners that enables a permanent adjustment of the burner parameters depending on the current state of combustion.
