Game characteristics in elite para table tennis

TL;DR: In this paper, the authors focused on the effect of the serve on the winning probability when serving in elite para table tennis players and found a significant main effect of sex with small effect sizes in the three-factorial model and medium to large effect sizes on the rally length and the winning probabilities directly from service and first attack.
Journal ArticleDOI

Detection of Ground Contact Times with Inertial Sensors in Elite 100-m Sprints under Competitive Field Conditions

TL;DR: In this paper, the stride parameter ground contact time (GCT) was estimated based on features of the recorded IMU signals in sprinting and the root mean square error of GCT was 7.97 ms.
Journal ArticleDOI

Validation of Sensor-Based Game Analysis Tools in Tennis

TL;DR: It is doubtful whether any of the tennis sensor systems tested may be used for the control of training processes aiming at increasing the average service speed and the mechanical properties of the BABOLAT rackets with and without IMU are the same.

Transient Elastography in Community Alcohol Services: Can It Detect Significant Liver Disease and Impact Drinking Behaviour?

TL;DR: The study demonstrated that transient elastography is a feasible tool to stratify clinically significant liver disease in community alcohol services and can stimulate a change in high-risk drinking behaviour and a normal liver stiffness result does not provide false reassurance to participants.
