Journal ArticleDOI
A direct efficient diastereoselective synthesis of enantiopure 3-substituted-isobenzofuranones
TL;DR: The authors showed that (−)-8-benzylaminomenthol with o-phthaldehyde lead to the chiral perhydro-1,3-benzoxazine 2 as single diastereoisomer.
Journal ArticleDOI
An efficient synthesis of enantiomerically enriched trifluoromethylated 1,2-diols and 1,2-amino alcohols with quaternary stereocenters by diastereoselective addition of TMSCF3 to chiral 2-acyl-1,3-perhydrobenzoxazines.
TL;DR: TMSCF3 adds to chiral 2-acyl-1,3-perhydrobenzoxazines with total diastereoselectivity leading to quaternary trifluoromethyl alcohols, which yields enantiomerically enriched trif LU-diols and 1,2-amino alcohols.
Journal ArticleDOI
Synthesis of Enantiopure Highly Substituted trans-8a-Hydroxydecahydroisoquinolines by Sequential Diastereoselective IMDA Reaction and Oxanorbornene Nucleophilic Ring Opening
Journal ArticleDOI
The reaction of β-aminoenones with substituted acetonitriles. Regiospecific synthesis of 2(1H)-pyridones
TL;DR: Unsymmetrically substituted β-aminoenones react with malononitrile, cyanomethylphenylsulfone, benzoyl-acetonitrile and ethyl cyanoacetate, in very mild conditions, to yield regiospecifically 3-functionalized 2(1H)-pyridones in high yields as discussed by the authors.
Journal ArticleDOI
Temperature- and Time-Dependent Stereochemical Control in Thermally Induced Keto−Ene Cyclizations
TL;DR: The thermolysis of chiral 2-acyl- 3-allyl-substituted 1,3-perhydrobenzoxazines derived from (-)-8-aminomenthol gives a mixture of only two cis-3-hydroxy-3,4-disubstituting pyrrolidine nuclei.
