Takahashi,Kazunobu Nagasaki,Takaaki Fujita,Yasuhisa Oya,Mizuki Sakamoto,Yoshio Ueda,Tsuyoshi Akiyama,Hiroshi Kasahara,Satoru Sakakibara,Ryuichi Sakamoto,Masayuki Tokitani,Hiroshi Yamada,M. Yokoyama,Yasuo Yoshimura +23 more
TL;DR: In this paper, the authors describe the recent achievements on LHD and the upgrade of LHD, including the deuterium experiment, and describe how to further improve LHD performance.
Journal ArticleDOI
Characteristics of honeycomb catalysts for oxidation of tritiated hydrogen and methane gases
TL;DR: In this article, the characteristics of honeycomb catalysts for the oxidation of hydrogen and methane gases were examined, and it was found that Pt was suitable for hydrogen oxidation and Pd for methane oxidation.
Journal ArticleDOI
Preparation and Commissioning for the LHD Deuterium Experiment
Masaki Osakabe,Mitsutaka Isobe,Masahiro Tanaka,Gen Motojima,Katsuyoshi Tsumori,Masayuki Yokoyama,Tomohiro Morisaki,Yasuhiko Takeiri +7 more
TL;DR: The deuterium experiment started from March 2017 on the large helical device (LHD) as a part of the LHD high-performance upgrade project as discussed by the authors, and the objectives of the experiment are: 1) to realize the high performance operation; 2) to explore the physics of isotope effect; 3) to demonstrate the confinement capability of energetic particles in helical devices; and 4) to exploring the research on plasma material interactions using the benefit of stable steady-state operation ability of LHD.
Journal ArticleDOI
Transmission and Reflection Characteristics of Waves Over a Submerged Flexible Mound
TL;DR: In this paper, a new type of submeged structure called flexible mound is proposed, which consists of a thin flexible membrane filled with water, and a numerical analysis based on the linear potential theory is performed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Hydrogen and methane oxidation performances of hybrid honeycomb catalyst for a tritium removal system
TL;DR: In this article, the NA honeycomb catalysts impregnated platinum and palladium were made by a co-impregnation method (Pt+Pd) and a sequential impregnation (pt/Pd), and the total amount of noble metal was prepared to 2 ǫ/L.
