Living radical polymerization through the use of iniferters: Controlled synthesis of polymers
TL;DR: In this article, some characteristics of photoiniferters of living radical polymerizations with tetraethylthiuram disulphide, benzyl N, N-diethyldithiocarbamate, p -xylylene bis(N, N -diethynectric acid) and tetrakis(N, N -decaramyl) benzene as photoinifiers are described and discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of .alpha.- and .beta.-ester alkyl groups on the propagation and termination rate constants for radical polymerization of dialkyl itaconates
TL;DR: In this paper, the effects of α- and β-ester alkyl substituents on the polymerization rate and the propagation and termination'rate constants (k p and k t ) were examined.
Journal ArticleDOI
Determination of absolute rate constants for radical polymerization of dialkyl itaconates with various ester groups by electron spin resonance spectroscopy
TL;DR: In this article, it was found that the polymerization rate of dialkyl itaconates (DRI) with various ester groups initiated by dimethyl 2,2'-azobis(isobutyrate) in benzene at 60°C depended mainly on the structure of the ester substituents.

Antireflection film, optical element and visual display
TL;DR: In this article, an antireflection film has a hard coat layer prepared on one side of a transparent substrate directly or through other layers, and further an ant-flection layer laminated on a surface of the hard-coat layer is formed by a dry cured film obtained from a solution comprising a siloxane oligomer, obtained by condensation polymerization after partial hydrolysis of a hydrolyzable alkoxy silane represented by a general formula (1): Si(OR)4), where R represents methyl group or ethyl group.
Journal ArticleDOI
Kinetic studies on the radical polymerization of isopropyl tert-butyl fumarate initiated with 2,2'-azobis(isobutyronitrile) and dimethyl 2,2'-azobis(isobutyrate): rates of addition and termination of the primary radicals
Masahiro Yoshioka,Takayuki Otsu +1 more
TL;DR: The dependence on isopropyl t-butyl fumarate and initiator concentrations of the rate of polymerization in benzene was revealed in this paper, where the concentration of the propagating radical was determined by ESR spectroscopy.
