Journal ArticleDOI
Fundamental study on thermo-hydraulics during start-up in natural circulation boiling water reactors. I: Thermo-hydraulic instabilities
Journal ArticleDOI
Investigation on condensation in presence of a noncondensable gas for a wide range of Reynolds number
TL;DR: In this paper, a theoretical model has been developed to study the local heat transfer coefficient of a condensing vapour in the presence of a non-condensable gas, where the gas/vapour mixture is flowing downward inside a vertical tube.
Journal ArticleDOI
Application of ultrasonic doppler method for bubbly flow measurement using two ultrasonic frequencies
TL;DR: In this paper, a new technique for multi-phase flow measurement is proposed, which is based upon an ultrasonic Doppler method (UDM) using different sizes of ultrasonic transducers (TDXs) for the UDM measurement.
Journal ArticleDOI
Geysering in parallel boiling channels
TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated geysering in twin parallel channels in both natural and forced circulations under various conditions of heat input, inlet subcooling and non-heated riser length from the upper end of the heated section to the outlet plenum.
Journal ArticleDOI
Approach towards spatial phase reconstruction in transient bubbly flow using a wire-mesh sensor
TL;DR: In this paper, a cluster-algorithm is proposed for the evaluation of bubble size distribution and volume flow reconstruction, and the validity of this algorithm for spatial field reconstruction was benchmarked by theoretical considerations as well as comparison of the calculated with alternatively measured data.
