Journal ArticleDOI

Inflationary helical magnetic fields with a sawtooth coupling

TL;DR: In this article , the authors study the generation of helical magnetic fields during inflation by considering a model which does not suffer from strong coupling or large back-reaction, and show that fully helical fields are generated with values in agreement with the lower bounds on fields in the Intergalactic Medium derived from blazar observations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pre-Big Bang Scenario on Self-T-Dual Bouncing Branes

TL;DR: In this article, a new class of 5-dimensional dilatonic actions are invariant under T-duality transformations along three compact coordinates, provided that an appropriate potential is chosen.
Journal ArticleDOI

Non-Singular Black Holes and mass inflation in modified gravity

TL;DR: In this article, a class of non-singular, static and spherically symmetric topological black hole metrics in F(R)-gravity were derived, which have not a de Sitter core at their center.

A novel method to compute bounce solutions

TL;DR: In this article, the authors investigated bounce solutions for single scalar field theories, with and without Einstein-Hilbert gravity, considering a false vacuum living on flat Euclidean spacetime.

Vacuum decay in quadratic gravity

TL;DR: In this article, it was shown that the scalar field on the bounce has a universal behavior at large Euclidean radii, almost independently of the potential, regardless of the other terms in the action.
