Consistency between marker- and genealogy-based heritability estimates in an experimental stand of Prosopis alba (Leguminosae)

TL;DR: Compared h(2) of 13 quantitative traits estimated by molecular marker information and Ritland's method in an experimental stand of P. alba, relatedness and heritability estimates from molecular information were highly correlated to the values obtained from genealogical data.
Journal ArticleDOI

Argentinean native wood species: physical and mechanical characterization of some Prosopis species and Acacia aroma (Leguminosae; Mimosoideae).

TL;DR: The aim of this paper was to obtain a preliminary detection of some properties of the wood of four species of the genus Prosopis and one species from Acacia grown in Argentina and found that these woods range from heavy to very heavy.
Journal ArticleDOI

Fine-scale spatial genetic structure analysis in two Argentine populations of Prosopis alba (Mimosoideae) with different levels of ecological disturbance

TL;DR: Compared fine-scale SGS between two populations of Prosopis alba: Fernandez-Forres (FF) and Campo Duran (CD), based on the variation of 12 SSR markers, highly significant genetic differentiation was detected with virtually no admixture between populations.
Journal ArticleDOI

Genetic variation in natural populations of Acacia visco (Fabaceae) belonging to two sub-regions of Argentina using AFLP

TL;DR: Since differentiation of A. visco populations in sub-regions was highly significant, a suitable management strategy for the use of this species in restoration programs would be focus on sampling seeds of a high number of individual trees within populations and also ensure a comprehensive coverage of the entire ecological amplitude ofThis species.
