Thermal-relaxation dissipation in thermoacoustic systems

TL;DR: In this paper, the effect of the solid material and gas type on thermal-relaxation dissipation is analyzed. And the main result of this model is that the choice of a solid material with the smallest possible heat capacity per unit area in combination with a gas with the largest available heat capacity in a given area minimizes the thermal attenuation of the sound wave.

Review of Electric Cracking of Hydrocarbons

TL;DR: In this article , the authors evaluated the current state of electric cracking and identified potential electric heating technologies for the electrification of cracking processes, which can result in energy savings as flue gas losses are avoided, while CO2 emissions will be reduced radically if renewable electricity is used.
