Journal ArticleDOI

Rigid Schiff Base Complex Supermolecular Aggregates as a High-Performance pH Probe: Study on the Enhancement of the Aggregation-Caused Quenching (ACQ) Effect via the Substitution of Halogen Atoms

TL;DR: In this article , a new pH probe has been developed, with optical property investigation suggesting the probe has excellent signal-to-noise ratio, and fluorescence intensity shows exponential growth, combined with a visible color change, as pH increased from 5.1 to 6.0.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal Structure and Supramolecular Architecture of Inorganic Ligand-Coordinated Salen-Type Schiff Base Complex: Insights into Halogen Bond from Theoretical Analysis and 3D Energy Framework Calculations

TL;DR: In this article, the effects of halogen bonding in the architecture of Schiff base complex supramolecular networks were investigated in the solid state for halogen bonds (XBs) by single crystal X-ray structure analysis and theoretical calculations were carried out to rationalize the formation mechanism of different types of XBs in the complex.
Journal ArticleDOI

Crystal and electronic structure of poly-halogenated lanthanide Schiff base complex: Insights into halogen bond from structural and theoretical analysis

TL;DR: In this paper, the electronic structure and influence of halogen bonds to the supramolecular networks of lanthanide Schiff base complexes, halogenated salen-type Schiff-base and cerium nitrate were chosen as starting materials and isolated a new salen type cerium(IV) complex [CeIV(3,5Br-salpn)2] (1) where 3,5 Br-Salpn = N,N,N'-bis (3, 5‑bromo salicylidene)-1,3-diamin
Journal ArticleDOI

Halogen atoms induced reversible supramolecular assembly and pH-response of the fluorescence properties: low driving force triggered fluorescence switch with high SNR and high stability

TL;DR: In this paper , a new SALEN type hetero-halogenated lanthanide complex (Ce-χ-L) was synthesized, and a set of optical properties were investigated.
