Matrix treatment process for oil extraction applications
TL;DR: In this article, the skin factor is determined by observing the variation in injection pressure over time and then the treatment parameters are adjusted in real time to minimize the skin factors, thereby minimizing formation damage.
Journal ArticleDOI
Real-time evaluation of matrix acidizing treatments
TL;DR: A new technique which is superior to a pre- and post-treatment test sequence and allows the calculation of the initial skin effect, undistorted by acid, and its real-time evolution is presented here.
Proceedings ArticleDOI
Application of Pressure-Transient and Production-Data Analysis for Hydraulic-Fracture-Treatment Evaluation
Journal ArticleDOI
Horizontal Well Testing of Isolated Segments
TL;DR: In this paper, a horizontal well test in a large reservoir and with small wellbore storage should lead to the estimation of three permeabilities along, normal and vertical to the well trajectory, the total well skin effect and, perhaps, the effective (open) well length.
