Abstract: 1. 1. Division and suture of an aorticopulmonary septal defect in a three month old infant are reported and the management of the defect in the neonatal period is discussed. 2. 2. Review of the literature now reveals ninety-one cases of aorticopulmonary septal defect with forty-five attempted surgical closures. A decreasing surgical mortality as well as an increasing incidence of patients under one year of age has been evident in the past ten years. 3. 3.
