Journal ArticleDOI

Prenatal stress affects the developmental trajectory of the rat amygdala

TL;DR: Pregnant stress-associated differences in the developmental trajectories of each amygdalar nucleus are found, apparent in some measures as early as P7, most extensive at P25 and resolved by P45, at least as seen by Nissl staining.
Journal Article

Hippocampal capillaries in different age groups of chronically ethanol-intoxicated rats. Morphometrical studies.

TL;DR: The observed age and regional differentiation of ethanol-related microvascular changes did not correlate well with the damaging effects of alcohol on corresponding neuronal elements, which emphasizes the very complicated pathogenesis of alcohol-induced injuries.
Journal ArticleDOI

Pericapillary and distant axon terminals in the nuclei of the cat amygdala: a morphometric study

TL;DR: The morphometric examination revealed two ultrastructurally distinct groups of axon terminals, pericapillary and distant terminals, in all the nuclei of the amygdaloid body, which support the hypothesis of a functional connection between axon Terminal wall in the central nervous system.
