Journal ArticleDOI
Responses of strawberry plantlets cultured in vitro under superbright red and blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs)
TL;DR: Unrooted strawberry cv.
Journal ArticleDOI
In vitro growth of Cymbidium plantlets cultured under superbright red and blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs)
TL;DR: This study demonstrates the effectiveness of a total irradiation system for Cymbidium plantlets growth in vitro and the significance of the findings in relation to the development of a suitable lighting system for plant tissue culture is discussed.
Journal ArticleDOI
Callus induction and somatic embryogenesis of Phalaenopsis
TL;DR: Callus induction and plant regeneration through somatic embryogenesis in Phalaenopsis Richard Shaffer `Santa Cruz' were examined and Histological observation suggested that the PLB segments formed calli were somatic embryos.
Journal ArticleDOI
Callus formation and plant regeneration from callus through somatic embryo structures in Cymbidium orchid
TL;DR: Embryogenic calli induced from longitudinally bisected segments of protocorm-like bodies of Cymbidium Twilight Moon ‘Day Light’, a hybrid orchid, converted into normal plants with well-developed shoots and roots on the medium without plant growth regulators after about 4 months, which were acclimatized in the greenhouse with 100% survival rate.
Journal ArticleDOI
Priming biotic factors for optimal protocorm-like body and callus induction in hybrid Cymbidium (Orchidaceae), and assessment of cytogenetic stability in regenerated plantlets
TL;DR: Protocorm-like bodies and callus were induced in epiphytic hybrid Cymbidium Twilight Moon ‘Day Light’, where induction capacity was strongly explant dependent and all resultant plants were shown to be cytogenetically identical using RAPD and mtDNA analysis.
