On the Use of PLA-PHB Blends for Sustainable Food Packaging Applications
TL;DR: PLA-PHB blends shows highly promising perspectives for the replacement of traditional petrochemical based polymers currently used for food packaging, with an emphasis on their performance with interest in the sustainable food packaging field.
Journal ArticleDOI
New Materials for 3D-Printing Based on Polycaprolactone with Gum Rosin and Beeswax as Additives.
TL;DR: The results showed that the formulation with containing polycaprolactone with a mixture of gum rosin and beeswax as additive behaved better during the 3D-printing process, and Fourier-Transform Infrared Spectroscopy assessment deduced that polycaproactone interacts with the functional groups of the additives.
Journal ArticleDOI
Combined effect of linseed oil and gum rosin as natural additives for PVC
Marina Patricia Arrieta,Marina Patricia Arrieta,M.D. Samper,M. Jiménez-López,Miguel Aldas,Miguel Aldas,Juan López +6 more
TL;DR: In this article, a mixture of epoxidized linseed oil (ELO) and triethylene glycol ester of gum rosin (TEGR) was used as a natural viscosity increasing agent.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of the Prodegradant-Additive Plastics Incorporated on the Polyethylene Recycling
TL;DR: In this article, the effect of degraded plastic with prodegradants on the polyethylene properties was studied and the feasibility of reprocessing was determined by analysing the melt flow index for each heating process and shear stress applied.
Journal ArticleDOI
Effect of pine resin derivatives on the structural, thermal, and mechanical properties of Mater‐Bi type bioplastic
Miguel Aldas,Miguel Aldas,Jose Miguel Ferri,Juan López-Martínez,M.D. Samper,Marina P. Arrieta +5 more
TL;DR: Aldas et al. as discussed by the authors investigated the effect of pine resin derivatives on the structural, thermal, and mechanical properties of Mater-Bi Type Bioplastic Journal of Applied Polymer Science.
