TL;DR: In this paper, the results of theoretical studies of the phase diagrams of Ni-Mn-Z Heusler alloys are considered with regard to the possible change in the character of magnetic ordering (from ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic) and interaction of the structural martensitic transformation with the metamagnetic transition.
Abstract: Investigations of new ferromagnetic shape-memory Ni-Mn-Z Heusler alloys (Z = In, Sn, Sb) are reviewed. Experimental data are described and explained on the assumption that these alloys undergo a phase transition from the ferromagnetic to the antiferromagnetic state (metamagnetic transition). The results of theoretical studies of the phase diagrams of these alloys are considered with regard to the possible change in the character of magnetic ordering (from ferromagnetic to antiferromagnetic) and interaction of the structural martensitic transformation with the metamagnetic transition.

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase diagrams of the Heusler Ni-Mn-X (X=In, Sn, Sb) alloys with exchange inversion were investigated and different types of phase diagrams depending on the signs of phenomenological parameters of the Ginzburg-Landau functional were obtained.

TL;DR: In this paper, the phase diagram of Ni-Mn-Ga Heusler alloys is investigated theoretically with the help of Ginzburg-Landau theory including magnetic, elastic and crystal lattice modulation order parameters as well as an external magnetic field.
Abstract: The phase diagram of Ni–Mn–Ga Heusler alloys is investigated theoretically with the help of Ginzburg–Landau theory including magnetic, elastic and crystal lattice modulation order parameters as well as an external magnetic field. The influence of the parameters of the Ginzburg–Landau functional on the phase diagrams is discussed in detail. It is shown that the volume and anisotropic magnetostriction have significant influence on the phase diagrams of Ni–Mn–Ga alloys. For an appropriated combination of phenomenological parameters, the sequence of the phase transitions is in good agreement with the experimental ones. The condiditons for the existence of a critical point in the H – T diagram are discussed.
